Chelsea are close to having deal in place for Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, it has been revealed.

The Daily Express says, however, Chelsea won't announce the signing of Romelu Lukaku before July 1.

The deal hasn't been officially completed because Lukaku would have to pose in adidas club merchandise at the unveiling.

Chelsea's current kit deal runs out on June 30 after which they will then be in Nike's hands.

And only after then will the big Belgian be shown off as a Chelsea player.

Chelsea have a £70million offer on the table for Everton striker Lukaku - though the Merseyside club are expected to demand at least £10m more.
