Chelsea agree TV deal for Oceania coverage

Fiji Television has announced a three-year agreement with IMG Media to air delayed coverage of Chelsea games, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The television network will partner with Chelsea TV to broadcast delayed coverage of the Barclays Premier League side's home and away Premier League, Uefa Champions League, FA Cup and Carling Cup fixtures.

"We welcome this great news even as the Premier League is into its sixth round of matches this weekend. We also acknowledge our subscribers' disappointments with the non-airing of EPL Series for 2013 and 2014. I am optimistic that this news will be welcomed by our Chelsea fans in our pacific broadcast territories," said Fiji TV's chief executive Tevita Gonelevu in a press release.

The agreement permits Fiji TV to screen the matches in the territories of: Fiji, Cook Islands, Kiribati Islands, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Niue, North Mariana Islands, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, French Polynesia, New Caledonia, Wallis and Futuna Islands, American Samoa and Guam.
