Chelsea ace Mata proud of 'tiny' revolution

Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata is proud to be part of a revolution in modern football.

Mata is part of the growing band of outstanding, diminutive midfielders now shining at the very top of the game.

He told Absolute Radio: "I think football is changing, not just in England, it's changing around the world, and now probably Spain is one of the reference of playing football, and we always play with the ball, trying to play with movement, with skills, with assists. That's what I'm trying to do, and as you said Silva, Carzola, we are, all of these Spanish players we are more or less the same way to play, and I think is the best one to try to win."

Mata was speaking to Ian Wright of Absolute Radio Rock n' Roll Football. Saturday's from 5pm on 1215AM. For more, visit absoluteradio.co.uk/football
