Lampard reckons it is the best save he has seen since England star Gordon Banks denied Pele in the 1970 World Cup.
Lampard said: “It’s right up there with the very best saves.
“I was calling him Banksy in the dressing room because from where I was standing, as soon as it was set up for Andy Carroll like that it was a goal.
“Keepers don’t often get the credit that goalscorers do but Petr won the FA Cup for us with that save alone.”
Chelsea’s interim boss Roberto Di Matteo added: “His save will be remembered for years. It was quite incredible when you saw Carroll coming in for that cross from so close to goal.”
