Chelsea ace Frank Lampard had no complaints not starting for their Champions League win at Benfica last week.

Roberto Di Matteo didn't start Lampard for the match in Lisbon, just as Andre Villas-Boas left him out of the first leg at Napoli, but the England star said the former had handled the situation much better than his predecessor.

Asked if Di Matteo took a different approach, Lampard said: "Yes, that is fair to say.

"I spoke with Robbie and certainly had no issue with it. I was delighted to get the result we got. I came on in the last 20 minutes, anyway."
