Eden Hazard has wished compatriot Christian Benteke well at his new club and welcomed the challenge he will offer Chelsea with new club Liverpool.

Benteke made a £32.5million move from Aston Villa to Anfield earlier this summer and Belgian teammate Hazard has expressed his happiness for him.

The former Genk ace has revealed how Hazard had sent him several text messages wishing him well on Merseyside and encouraging him to be part of a Liverpool side that challenges for the title.

Benteke said: "He is happy for me. He said now I have a chance to win and beat him."

"I think we have a chance. We have a good squad. It is up to us now to show them."
