Chelsea ace Cesc enters Guinness World Book of Records - for second time

Chelsea ace Cesc Fabregas has landed a place in the 2019 Guinness World Book of Records.

The 31-year-old proudly posed with his latest accolade after it became clear he entered the catalogue having become the fastest player to reach 100 Premier League assists.

"I'm not the fastest, I'm not the strongest, I'm not the most flexible, I don't jump high," Fabregas said.

"But to achieve this record in my career is one of the proudest things in my job, because it is my job and I did it well."

The landmark assist came on 31 December 2016, the Chelsea midfielder getting his century in the Premier League in what was just his 293rd match.

That pass, which set up Willian in a resounding 4-2 win over Stoke City, made him the record-holder for the fastest time to achieve 100 assists in the league, 74 matches sooner than Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs in second place with 367 matches.

Fabregas is also in the Guinness Record Book as the joint holder of 'The most volley passes in 30 seconds by a pair' with 15 successful passes.
