Charly Musonda Snr has advised his son to leave Chelsea for the good of his career.
18-year-old Charly Musonda Jr is showing plenty of promise in the West London club's youth academy but is no closer to forcing his way into the Blues first team.
Former Anderlecht star and Zambia international Musonda feels his son is good enough for Chelsea's senior side but may have to move on if opportunities are not forthcoming.
"He should definitely leave," he told Belgian website Voetbal Krant.
"Monaco were interested a while ago, and that was not the only team.
"He should be able to play in the first team, to develop further in that way."
It is believed that Manchester United and Arsenal are both showing interest in Musonda who has scored 12 goals for Chelsea's U21 side this season.
