Charlton Athletic are looking to acquire the services of Arsenal youngster Stephy Mavididi on loan, according to reports from the London Evening Standard.

Mavididi has impressed for the Arsenal youth team this season and the teenager has already been rewarded with a place on the bench in two of the Gunners' EFL Cup clashes during the current campaign.

A number of lower league clubs are understandably interested in signing Mavididi and if reports are to be believed, Charlton are hopeful of acquiring the 18-year-old on loan till the end of the season as a potential replacement for Nicky Ajose, who is being linked with the likes of Bradford City and Southend United.
