Charlton Athletic goalkeeper Ben Hamer doesn't believe any English keeper in the Championship is ready to play for England.
Hamer sees the goalkeepers in the Championship on a weekly basis.
"Most of the keepers in the Championship are English or British but there is a reason we are here," said Hamer to the London Evening Standard. "We have weaknesses in our game that we can improve on.
"And as a nation, we are too big to be bringing players from the Championship to the national team. No disrespect to teams like Wales and Ireland, who select players from the Championship, but England should only pick players who are playing in the Premier League week in, week out."
