Charlton Athletic goalkeeper Ben Hamer believes English shot-stoppers are being frozen out at Premier League clubs.
Hamer, 25, insists there are good English goalkeepers out there but believes they are being overlooked by foreign managers in the Premier League.
"When managers come over, they bring their own goalkeeping coaches and they have a big input into who the manager brings in," he told the London Evening Standard.
"But forget the first team, it is happening at a younger level. Teams bring foreign goalkeepers in at academy level and do not give English kids a chance. That is where the problem lies."
