Charlton claim a deal has yet to be agreed over Nicky Bailey's proposed move to Middlesbrough. The Championship club had issued a statement revealing they had agreed terms with the player, and that Bailey was due to head to the north east next week to undergo a medical.

But, although the Addicks have acknowledged their skipper is in negotiations with Boro, plc chairman Richard Murray told the club's official website: "We are in talks with Middlesbrough but nothing has been agreed as yet."
