Charlton boss delighted to land Man City's Mills

Charlton Athletic boss Alan Pardew is happy with the signing of Manchester City fullback Danny Mills on-loan.

"The reason we brought Danny Mills to the club is we feel we are lacking a bit of organisation at the back and at times, a little bit of experience," Pardew said.

"We also needed someone who is aware what this division is about. I think Danny will be important for us and with Yassin Moutaouakil still three or four weeks away with an ankle injury, it is a good signing.

"He's coming back to a club that he knows well. He had an absolutely fantastic offer to go to Leeds United but his heart was always a little bit with Charlton. He couldn't wait to get back here and I hope the fans respond to him the way he has responded in training because he's been great so far."
