Charlton to beat Everton, Villa for Wylde

Charlton Athletic are set to win the battle for released Rangers winger Gregg Wylde.

The Mirror says boss Chris Powell hopes to pull off a coup and bring Scotland under-21 cap Wylde, who has also spoken to three Premier League clubs, to his League One leaders.

Wylde has sorted out his release from crisis-hit Ibrox following Rangers' move into administration.

He hopes to make a decision in the next few days and would like to get permission from FIFA to make a move and play for his new club this season.

Aston Villa, Everton and Bolton are interested in Wylde, but Charlton's major play may see them off.
