ChampionshipCharlton Athletic have signed former Standard Liege, Newcastle United and AC Milan defender Oguchi Onyewu on a short-term deal until January. The 32-year-old centre-back was a free agent following a spell with Sheffield Wednesday last season.

Onyewu, who has won 69 international caps for the United States, also spent time with QPR in 2013-14 but never played for their first team.
