Charlie Adam hopes to land a new deal at Stoke City.

Adam's current deal is due to expire at the end of the season and boss Mark Hughes has already indicated there will be a new one in the offing if the popular Scotsman continues to impact on first-team affairs.

He told the Sunday Post: "I'm looking to extend as soon as possible. This is a terrific club and I've had a great few years here.

"It's constantly evolving, with better and better players being brought in all the time.

"That can make it harder to get a game, right enough, but I enjoy that sort of challenge."
