Channel 5 have announced they will be screening a documentary on Liverpool next season.

Liverpool fans have already been given a taste of the new far-reaching documentary with the release of the first trailer for the series, currently entitled 'Being Liverpool'.

The six-part series focuses on the club's FA Cup final against Chelsea, the departure of Kenny Dalglish, the appointment of new boss Brendan Rodgers, their pre-season tour of Canada and the beginning of the forthcoming Premier League season.

Katie Keenan, head of acquisitions at Channel 5 said: "It's an incredible coup and an incredible show for Channel 5 - this kind of access to a club just doesn't usually happen.

"The audience will get an amazing insight into Liverpool FC that they will never have had before."
