Jason Spagnuolo admits a change of club and scenery has reignited his desire for the game.
The North Queensland Fury midfielder was one of his club's best in their first ever A-League match on Saturday (a 3-2 loss to Sydney FC) and puts it down to a change of environment after moving from Adelaide United.
''I had a couple of injuries last year and was struggling a bit with form and I was a little bit frustrated, so it's been great to move up to Townsville,'' he said
''I just needed a change. I love Adelaide, I'm a born-and-bred South Aussie and it's a great place, but I just needed a change and I'm very much enjoying my time at the moment.''
The 25-year old also admitted that the team would need to improve further to become a more competitive outfit in the A-League.
''It's still a long way to go, it's still very early days, there's still lots to work on,'' he added.
''That's why we will train hard this week and all the weeks to come.
''Everyone does their bit and it was just my little bit for the team.''
