Swansea boss Roberto Martinez has challenged UEFA to look into English football's gruelling fixture congestion. Swansea will have played 11 games in 36 days before the international break, and Martinez believes it is a situation that needs rectifying if the English leagues are to fulfil their potential.
He told the club's official website: "You need to find the solution from the top - UEFA needs to look at the situation. They need to look at domestic commitments and international needs, then pull it all together.
"At the moment, it is on the verge of being unhealthy for the safety of the players and the quality of the football."
