The group stage for the 2013/14 UEFA Champions League is now complete with all 16 spots in the first knockout phase sorted.
Turkish giants Galatasaray caused somewhat of an upset earlier on Wednesday as they beat Juventus 1-0 in Group B to join Real Madrid in the next phase.
The match in Istanbul was abandoned on Tuesday night due to heavy snow with the replay, from the 31-minute mark, taking place in the afternoon. Wesley Sneijder scored a late goal to see Roberto Mancini's Gala side edge the Serie A champions who will now drop into the Europa League which they will be favoured to win.
In Wednesday night's action proper, Chelsea managed to finish top of Group E thanks to a 1-0 home win over Steaua Bucharest who finished bottom of the group. Demba Ba scored the only goal of the contest in the 10th minute at Stamford Bridge.
German outfit Schalke joined the Blues in the next phase by beating Swiss champions FC Basel 2-0 in Gelsenkirchen.
In Group F, Borussia Dortmund topped the standings courtesy of a last-gasp 2-1 win over Marseille at the Stade Velodrome.
Kevin Grosskreutz came up with an 87th minute winner to see last season's runners-up through after it appeared they may miss out when the scoreline read 1-1, with Napoli in control against Arsenal at the Stadio San Paolo.
But the late goal sent Dortmund to the top and they will be joined by the Gunners in the final 16 despite their 2-0 defeat in Naples.
Atletico Madrid continued their dominance in Group G by beating FC Porto 2-0, thanks to first-half goals from Raul Garcia and Diego Costa, to finish 10 points clear of second-placed Zenit St Petersburg.
The Russians, who finished second, have the Spaniards to thank for beating third-placed Porto as they were well-beaten by Austria Vienna who produced their first group stage win with a Philipp Hosiner-inspired 4-1 result.
And finally, Group G saw Barcelona hammer Celtic 6-1 at the Nou Camp thanks to a Neymar hat-trick while AC Milan saw off Ajax to finish second following their 0-0 draw at the San Siro.
