The play-offs for the 2014/15 Champions League season are now complete with the 32 sides for the group stage decided.
Arsenal edged past Turkish side Besiktas 1-0 on aggregate following their victory at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night which came courtesy of Alexis Sanchez's first goal for the club.
The win allowed the Gunners to progress to the group stage of Europe's premier club competition for the 17th successive season.
In Spain, Athletic Bilbao scored three times in 13 minutes to give them a 3-1 come-from-behind win over Napoli which resulted in a 4-2 aggregate triumph over the Italians.
Aduriz netted twice after Marek Hamsik's opener for Napoli before Ibai added a third to complete the comeback for the Spaniards.
German club Bayer Leverkusen produced a 4-0 home win over Denmark's FC Copenhagen, thanks to a double from Stefan Kiessling, to give them a 7-2 aggregate victory while Swedish club Malmo defeated Red Bull Salzburg 3-0 to overcome a 2-1 first leg deficit.
And to round out the night's action, Bulgarian outfit Ludogorets Razgrad emerged victorious over Romania's Steaua Bucharest in a dramatic penalty shootout following their 1-1 aggregate draw.
Defender Cosmin Moti was the hero for Ludogorets after taking the gloves when goalkeeper Vladislav Stoyanov was sent off two minutes from the end of extra-time.
Sensationally, Moti made two saves in the shootout after scoring from the spot to send the Bulgarians through in a fairy-tale fashion.
Arsenal, Athletic Bilbao, Bayer Leverkusen, Malmo and Ludogorets Razgrad all join NK Maribor, APOEL Nicosia, BATE Borisov, Zenit Saint Petersburg and FC Porto in the group stage proper of the Champions League after their respective play-off wins on Tuesday night.
The group stage draw for the 32 competing teams will be held in Monaco on Thursday.
