Blackburn Rovers are believed to be in pursuit of Roberto Di Matteo to fill their managerial vacancy.
The Championship club sacked Henning Berg on Tuesday night and Goal.com has already suggested that they are after former Chelsea boss Di Matteo to step into the role.
The Italian, who has already been linked with the Nottingham Forest job, was sacked by the Blues last month despite leading the club to the Champions League/FA Cup double whilst caretaker at Stamford Bridge last season.
Di Matteo has already coached in the second tier - with West Bromwich Albion in 2010 - but reports suggest he is unlikely to again drop down following his success in Europe's top competition.
