CHAMPIONS LEAGUE SF 2nd LEG: Barcelona beaten by Bayern Munich but progress to final

Barcelona are through to the 2014/15 UEFA Champions League final despite losing to Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.

The Catalan giants set up their pathway through to the Berlin decider with last week's 3-0 triumph at the Camp Nou, meaning that Bayern's 3-2 come-from-behind win was not enough to overcome their Spanish rivals, who are now in the final courtesy of a 5-3 aggregate win.

The lead was cut down to two goals when Mehdi Benatia opened the scoring for Bayern in the seventh minute with a header before Neymar, who scored Barca's third goal last week, struck twice prior to the half-hour mark.

Luis Enrique's men took a 2-1 lead into half-time which saw them 5-1 ahead on aggregate, giving Pep Guardiola's men very little chance.

However, the Germans managed to edge their way in front thanks to a lovely effort from Robert Lewandowski from the edge of the area before Thomas Muller struck in similar fashion past the outstretched left hand of Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

In the end though, Barcelona moved comfortably through to their first Champions League final in four years where they will take on the winner of Wednesday night's clash between Real Madrid and Juventus at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on June 6.
