Champions League not a factor for Chelsea duo Hazard and Courtois

Chelsea are in a fight to secure the long term futures of their two key players – Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois.

The winger and goalkeeper are not out of contract in the summer, but the club is looking to tie them down to long term contracts to ward off interest from other teams.

Hazard has been linked to the likes of Real Madrid and PSG, while Courtois has never hidden his desire to return to Madrid one day, where his family lives.

But it appears the two could stay at Chelsea beyond the summer, even if the club misses out on Champions League football.

Goal.com reports that Chelsea can convince both players to stay despite no Champions League football next season, if the club proves they are being ambitious in the transfer market.
