Chelsea have finished top of Group G with a 2-0 Champions League victory over FC Porto at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
The Blues went into the match under an enormous amount of pressure following their shock loss to Bournemouth on Saturday but got the result needed to remain at the summit of their group.
The opening goal came in the 12th minute when Iker Casillas had saved Diego Costa's shot only to see the ball ricochet in off Ivan Marcano.
It was a better performance from Chelsea but still not great, however, they managed to find a second when Eden Hazard found Willian who took a touch before firing beyond Casillas in the 52nd minute.
The Blues may have had a third late on when Hazard hit the post but it did not affect the result as the West London club progressed to the Round of 16 along with Ukrainian outfit Dynamo Kyiv who edged Maccabi Tel Aviv 1-0 to bypass Porto into second place.
The win will certainly keep Jose Mourinho's job safe for now and could be the catalyst the reigning Premier League champions need to get their flailing season back on track.
