Spanish giants Atletico Madrid will meet A-League club Melbourne Victory in a July friendly.
In additional match to next month's International Champions Cup between Atletico, the Victory, Tottenham and Juventus, a fixture has been announced that will see the Spaniards meet the Melbourne powerhouse in Geelong.
The match will take place at Simonds Stadium on Sunday, July 31.
John Eren, Minister for Tourism and Major Events, said at the announcement: "Atlético de Madrid is one of world football's most powerful clubs.
"It was only weeks ago Atlético was battling out the UEFA Champions League final in Milan, and now Geelong beckons.
"These aren't just great spectacles, they're a big boost to the local economy and a rare chance to see the world's very best in our own backyard."
Atleti will also take on Tottenham at the MCG on July 29 as part of ICC 2016 while the Victory will come up against Italian champions Juventus on July 23.
