Barcelona finished off their Champions League group stage campaign with a comfortable 4-0 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach on Tuesday.
Arda Turan helped himself to a hat-trick as the Catalan giants easily finished on top of the Group C table, six points ahead of Manchester City, which is remarkably the 10th straight time they have done so.
The opening goal came on 16 minutes when Lionel Messi played a smart one-two with Turin which resulted in the Argentine maestro firing into Yann Sommer's bottom left corner for his 10th goal in the group stage this season and 51st Champions League goal in 51 appearances at the Camp Nou.
Barca doubled their advantage five minutes into the second half when Turkish ace Turan was on hand to simply head home a Denis Suarez cross which had fallen invitingly for him.
Three minutes later and it was 3-0 thanks to Turan's second which came when Aleix Vidal pulled back a perfectly weighted pass for him to pick his spot and fire beyond a hapless Sommer.
And it was game, set and match in the 67th minute when Turan completed his treble, finishing Paco Alcacer's cross at the back post, despite the best efforts of Sommer.
The win sees Luis Enrique's side end the initial phase of Europe's premier club competition five wins and one defeat, and a goal difference of plus-16, having scored 20 times in their six matches.
The draw for the Round of 16 takes place on Monday with Barcelona awaiting their second-placed opponents for the first knockout stage.
