Nottingham Forest defender Luke Chambers is desperate for the fans to get behind the team as they attempt to beat the drop from the Championship.

Sections of the City Ground crowd jeered at half-time during Saturday's 2-0 win over Coventry which lifted Forest out of the bottom three.

"Supporters didn't support us in the first half," Chambers told the Nottingham Post.

"We went in at half-time at 0-0 and we got booed off the pitch. When you are down in the rut we are in, that is not going to help anyone.

"It is not what you want to be hearing. But we are professional footballers and we have to get on with it. The best way for us to answer our critics was to get the win and we did that."
