Chamakh leaves Arsenal to sign with Crystal Palace

Marouane Chamakh has joined Crystal Palace on a one-year deal.

The 29-year old Moroccan striker has been given permission to leave Arsenal to sign a 12-montrh contract with the Eagles who are back in the Premier League this season.

An official Palace statement read: "Crystal Palace are delighted to confirm the signing of Morocco international striker Marouane Chamakh on a one-year deal.

"The former Arsenal forward has joined the Eagles on a permanent deal after completing a medical in SE25, and will wear the number 29 shirt."

Chamkah joined Arsenal from Bordeaux in 2010, scored 14 goals in 67 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners.
