Balram Chainrai has been confirmed as Portsmouth's new chairman. The Hong Kong businessman finally completed his takeover at Fratton Park last weekend.
"I am delighted to take up this appointment and to play my part in the rebuilding process of the club," he told the club's official website.
Neither Chainrai nor fellow shareholder Levi Kushnir will be at Saturday's clash with Nottingham Forest but plan to attend the next home game against QPR on November 9.
"We very much look forward to being at Fratton Park for the following home game against QPR for what should be a fantastic match," he added.
