Cesena's Nagatomo joins Inter on loan

Inter Milan have secured the services of defender Yuto Nagatomo on loan from Cesena. The Japan left-back, who delivered the cross which produced the winning goal in the Asian Cup final against Australia on Saturday, will saddle up with Nerazzurri for the remainder of the season.

The 24-year old joined Cesena in the European summer from J-League club FC Tokyo and has been impressive in his first six months for the Northern Italian outfit, so much so that Inter have swooped for him.

Nagatomo's move to the San Siro comes as young Italian full-back Davide Santon goes the other way to further his development in a first team environment.

"The champion of Asia arrives from Cesena, who have received Davide Santon as part of the deal, also on loan," read an Inter statement.
