Cesc Fabregas is under pressure to go public over his wish to quit Arsenal for Barcelona.
The Daily Mail says Fabregas has gone on record that the only club he would leave Arsenal for is Barca, and privately he has told manager Arsene Wenger he wants to quit the Emirates.
But Arsenal want £80million for Fabregas while Barca value him at less than half that amount.
Now the 23-year-old could try to make the Gunners back down by openly demanding a move, although doing so would risk damaging his reputation with Arsenal supporters and, should Wenger then hang on to his star midfielder, questions would be raised about the Spaniard's commitment.
Barca president Joan Laporta is eager to sign Fabregas before he leaves his post on June 30, although his successor will be known by June 13.
And with leading candidate Sandro Rosell claiming yesterday that Barca are £423m in debt, Fabregas could be stuck at Arsenal if the deal is not done quickly.
