Cesc Fabregas praised his Chelsea teammates following their spirited fightback in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night.

The Blues found themselves 2-0 down after 34 minutes when Shinji Okazaki struck twice for Leicester City in the third round of the league cup at the King Power Stadium.

However, goals from Gary Cahill and Cesar Azpilicueta levelled it up for the West Londoners before Fabregas pulled out an extra-time double to give his side a 4-2 victory.

"I think we played quite well, to be honest," Fabregas told Sky Sports.

"We know they are a dangerous team on the counter, which is what they did, but I think we showed great character, as I think we've been showing during the whole season."
