Central Coast will worry about finals first

Despite the Asian Champions League being just around the corner, the Central Coast Mariners will be focused on the A-League finals. After losing the Grand Final last season, the Mariners will be out to avenge that loss and it all starts this Friday night against the Queensland Roar at Bluetongue Stadium.

Mariners skipper Alex Wilkinson admitted the club was excited as they embarked on an Asian journey but were more focused on the job at hand.

"Now that the Champions League is getting close all the boys are realising it's happening and it's exciting times," Wilkinson told Sportal.

"We're really looking forward to it but at the moment we're switched on for the finals.

"We know that if we're not at the top of our game we will be out in two weeks.

"Once the season ends then it will be full steam ahead for the Champions League."
