Central Coast to take on Wellington in Dubbo

Central Coast Mariners will take their game to the people of Dubbo.

The Mariners will play Wellington Phoenix in a pre-season clash on July 25 as the club plans to share the world game with as many areas as possible.

"Our club is committed to spreading the football gospel to the wider community and is passionate about continuing to expand the support base of the Mariners," said Mariners executive chairman Lyall Gorman.

"People in the Central West have proven their love of the game in the past and we think Dubbo deserves a chance to witness top class football.

"We thank everyone at Western Football NSW for the effort they have made, and congratulate them in successfully attracting top class football to the region, and look forward to contributing to its continued growth in the Central West.

"I know the lads always enjoy taking matches to new locations and I'm sure everyone will be excited about the prospect of introducing themselves to the people of Dubbo. I was out there last week and was impressed with what I saw."
