Central Coast Mariners striker Matt Simon is not believing the hype surrounding his name and the Australian World Cup squad.
Although the 23-year old has been touted as a potential to head to South Africa next year, he is just focusing on the A-League season as it comes.
"It's too far off to be thinking about it," Simon said.
"Every kid dreams of playing in a World Cup, it's nice to have my name mentioned."
But Simon was more concerned with Saturday's clash with Brisbane Roar at Suncorp Stadium.
"At home they're under pressure so they'll be pumped up," Simon added. "We'll have to be ready."
