Central Coast's Kiwi youngster Roux lands young player award

Central Coast Mariners defender Storm Roux is the December nominee for the NAB Young Footballer of the Year Award for 2013/14.

The promising 21-year old New Zealand international was impressive in five A-League outings for the Mariners during the final month of 2013 and was rewarded for his efforts with the young player of the month award.

"It's a great honour to be nominated for the NAB Young Footballer of the Year Award," Roux said. "I am very happy with how the season is going, and it's great to be recognised for my performances.

"Over the last two years I have seen players nominated for this award, and many of them have been from the Mariners. It shows that the Club produces good young players and it's a great feeling that my name is now alongside the likes of Mat Ryan, Trent Sainsbury, Bernie Ibini, Mustafa Amini, and Tom Rogic."
