Central Coast Mariners winger Michael McGlinchey is determined to prove his value at Motherwell.
The former Celtic kid has joined Motherwell on a three-month loan to stay fit for New Zealand's World Cup campaign.
He told the Daily Record: "When I left Celtic last summer I was desperate to prove myself and I had to go all the way to Australia to do that.
"I thank Mariners for giving me the chance and allowing me to get this deal with Motherwell sorted out.
"It's amazing that I find myself back in Scotland so soon after leaving last summer.
"I went through a horrible time before heading to Australia and if someone had told me then that I was months away from the World Cup I'd have checked they weren't wearing a straitjacket."
