Central Coast Mariners star McGlinchey can't wait for Man Utd test

Michael McGlinchey was over the moon after being selected for the Foxtel A-League All-Stars side.

The 26-year old New Zealand midfielder has been included by head coach Ange Postecoglou for the July 20 clash with Premier League champions Manchester United in Sydney and is looking forward to the challenge.

"I am obviously very proud to be selected in the team. It's a massive honour. It's just an added bonus that it's against Manchester United, the team that I've supported so I am looking forward to it," he said.

"I think the A-League's got a lot stronger over the years and I think we're at a good level now where we can test ourselves against these guys and sort of see where we are. Hopefully we can put a good performance on and show the world that we're a good league."
