A-League leaders Central Coast Mariners are believed to be showing considerable interest in Heart of Midlothian striker John Sutton.
The 28-year old Englishman is close to leaving the financially strapped Edinburgh club but Hearts do not want him to go on loan to Scottish Premier League rivals or clubs in England.
Sky Sports suggests that the Mariners, last season's runners-up, are looking to bring in a quality attacker such as Sutton as they prepare for the Asian Champions League which kicks off in March.
