Central Coast keeper Ryan settles on Club Brugge

Central Coast Mariners goalkeeper Mat Ryan is set to join Belgian outfit Club Brugge.

The 21-year old gloveman was being tracked by Danish club Randers but is believed to have settled on 13-time Belgian champions Brugge with a compensation fee of around $180,000 to be paid to the Mariners.

It is believed that Ryan has agreed a four-year deal with an official announcement to be made soon.

"Things are very close to being sorted out in terms of my future and it's exciting," Ryan told The World Game.

"There are a few finer points to be finalised and it's no secret that it's been a dream of mine to play in Europe, the same as any young boy. Fingers crossed everything will go through now.

"Having the opportunity to play first team football has always been a big priority with me when assessing which step to take next and hopefully I will have that chance."
