Central Coast Mariners coach Lawrie McKinna is excited on the eve of the club's A-League match in Canberra. The Mariners will use Canberra Stadium as its home ground for two matches this season, with tomorrow's fixture against Perth Glory being the first.
Players will be forced to undergo a five-hour bus ride to the ground but McKinna is undeterred about the travel and believes the Mariners are a good match for Dave Mitchell's Glory.
"We've been down there a few times before, we've got great support and we've never lost down there," McKinna said yesterday.
"I think we just match up well against Perth.
"They've usually been a big, physical, strong team and that brings the best out of us.
"Perth are a very experienced team right across the park and all of their new boys are finding their feet now."
