Celtic's Aidan McGeady looks likely to miss the derby with Rangers on 2 January 2007 through suspension.
The in-form midfielder picked up a yellow card against Inverness on Sunday, bringing him up to the disciplinary points threshold of 18.
This means he that will be automatically suspended for one match, and as the SFA's regulations state that the ban does not come into effect for two weeks, he is expected to miss the crucial clash with Rangers.
This is a huge blow for Celtic who have dropped five points in their last three games and have come to rely on McGeady's match-winning performances this season.
