Celtic winger Aiden McGeady is looming as Sunderland boss Roy Keane's top summer target.

Keane hinted over the weekend: "I've got a list of players I want and it's not very long. It's a mixed bag but the players we're hoping to bring to the club, we hope most of them would be based in these islands. We're not looking to sign as many as 10, probably more than five."

The Journal says Keane's careful choice of words suggest another raid on the Scottish Premier League and most probably his former club Celtic, from whom he signed Stanislav Varga and Ross Wallace, with £8m-rated Republic of Ireland winger McGeady strongly linked.
