Celtic winger Aiden McGeady is desperate to avoid Arsenal in the Champions League knockouts.

"I think I would like to avoid Arsenal because they are capable of beating anybody right now," he said. "Parkhead is a formidable fortress at the minute but I think Arsenal could come here, have 70 per cent of the ball and just play us off the park, to be honest with you.

"They are undoubtedly one of the strongest teams in Europe at the moment. If you look around every area of their team they are all either fast, fit or strong.

"I think they are up there with the very best at the moment and yet they are also such a young team.

"From one to 11, every player, in every position, has what it takes to become one of the top talents in Europe."
