Celtic's McDonald scores opener in Champions League draw

Aussie star Scott McDonald scored the opening goal to give Celtic the lead against Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League. McDonald's inch-perfect lob in the 13th minute surprised United but the visitors saved face late in the match to hit back through Ryan Giggs.

The diminutive Aussie sparked the Parkhead crowd when he expertly elevated the ball over United goalkeeper Ben Foster and some solid defending kept the Hoops in front for much of the contest but in the end they had to settle for one point.
