Celtic's Crosas convinced of Villarreal shock

Celtic’s Spanish star Marc Crosas believes they can cause a shock result against Villarreal on Tuesday night.

Celtic’s Spanish star Marc Crosas believes they can cause a shock result against Villarreal on Tuesday night.

The SPL champions have never won away from home in the Champions League and face an uphill task after drawing 0-0 with Aalborg in their opening fixture.

However, former Barcelona midfielder Crosas is sure Celtic have the quality to match the Spanish outfit.

“Villarreal have very good players but we are also a very good team. If we play well we can get the result we need," Crosas told the Scottish Sun.

“I must be honest, I haven’t watched many of their games recently but last season I know they played very well.

“I feel we have many good points to our game and are better. We can expose their weaknesses.

“Everyone knows we are a very good team here at Celtic Park with our supporters making the atmosphere, but we can also play well away from home.

“In the past Celtic have played well in the Champions League against Milan, Barca and Manchester United. I know we can win at Villarreal.”
