Sunderland boss Roy Keane is planning a bid for Celtic defender Bobo Balde.
Scotland on Sunday says the Guinea defender is picking up £28,000 a week without playing. He has been told he has no future at the club, but the 32-year-old rejected a move to Sunderland in August because his former Hoops team-mate Keane was only offering a short-term deal.
However, Keane is now desperate to shore up his leaky defence and knows an offer of £1m and a longer contract could land Balde during next month's transfer window.
