Celtic young gun James Forrest may still be sidelined when the club takes on Spartak Moscow in the Champions League early next month.
The 21-year old winger has been out with a hamstring problem since October 27 and manager Neil Lennon admits he may not be right for the vital European fixture at Parkhead on December 5.
"James Forrest had a scan on Monday and it has come through that he has got a tendon problem in the hamstring area," said the Hoops boss.
"It always seems to be a complication with James, none of his injuries seem to be straightforward. We hope, and it's an outside chance, he'll be fit for Spartak."
Celtic need to avoid defeat to Spartak and hope that Barcelona beat Benfica at the Nou Camp in order to qualify for the Champions League Round of 16.
