Celtic, West Ham join race for Middlesbrough's Williams

Scottish giants Celtic and Premier League club West Ham United are believed to have joined the pursuit of Middlesbrough captain Rhys Williams.

The 25-year old Australian defender is already a £1.5million target for Swansea City but Hoops boss Neil Lennon and Hammers manager Sam Allardyce are also believed to be keen.

Reports emanating in Glasgow suggest that Celtic are set to table a bid for the aforementioned price for Williams while West Ham are still pondering a possible move for the former Burnley loanee.
